Always the Jokester

May 11, 2008
by CHANTELLE WAI

Ethan has decided he likes rock music and country music and often requests those for room time.

He has also discovreed the joy of a "joke" and started telling them to everyone:

ETHAN: "What happens if a dinosaur eats your hat?"
VICITM: "I don't know, what?"
ETHAN: "You have to get another hat!!!"

Then he proceeds to giggle and laugh until he comes up with another "what if a dinosaur eats ______" (you fill in the rest). Imagine this for at least 30 minuntes in the car. Fun, but after a while it got really old. It is HILARIOUS, though; mostly because he cracks himself up. That kid has a great smile & laugh.

If I'm upset with him & he's been in trouble (oh, no, not this kid), oh yeah....he'll look at me and say "mommy, would you smile at me??" I know it's his way of asking if everthing is o.k. between us, but it still cracks me up. Of course, I always give him a smile and remind him that even though I might not like what he DOES, I will always love him. It's a fun teaching moment, but sometimes difficult to come by.
